Traveling with super humans
I promise this will only take 5 minutes of your life!3 minutes – that’s it.Read this!I’m going to convince you to travel with your kids. That it’s worth it. That it’s special. That you can do this. I’m going to try anyways. Gotta give it at least one shot! It’s not going to be the trip you had before you had kids. It’s going to demand a lot of you. You’ve got to be ON all the time. Meaning wake up an hour earlier than expected. You’ve got to plan. So have your honey due list ready. You’ve got to Go when you want to Stop and Stop when you want to Go. You’ve got to have A Lot of patience. But there’s the payoff. It’s great. Like parenthood itself, it’s something you can’t quite explain until you’re in it. There’s something unique about traveling with kids. You can’t sleepwalk through it. Or fake it. You can’t sum it up in a postcard.I loved traveling when I was single and living it up with my girlfriends. However I love it more now that I have kids. It takes trips to a different level. It’s almost a whole different experience. Like the old saying don’t take sand to the beach. The mini nomads are the sand. When traveling with children people seem to be more optimistic and open as they can relate to their experiences. You’re accepted in. You share something with other travels even if their not traveling with children. It’s the experience. Even the most jaded and shady taxi driver will let his guard down when he sees your kids. Can you imagine what your kids are experiencing?? Try to see the world through their eyes.Don’t believe the hype. You can do this. I know you can. Look in the mirror and say “You can do this”Every time I see someone on my flight with a child flying for the first time I always make it a point to speak to them and relate my travel experiences with an infant and toddler. They may scream from their little ears popping but who hasn’t heard a screaming baby and after all that’s what ear plugs were made for. You’ve got a choice and I tell my friends travel is the most enriching thing you can buy yourself. The memories are priceless and they’ll last forever.Traveling with your kids is something you have to do now. You have to start now. Start planning. Start thinking. Start thumbing through guide books, running your fingers over maps, staring at pictures of beaches and mountains and rope bridges. Start now there’s no need to put it off for years. Jump in the car and drive somewhere if you have too. If you can afford and iPhone or the latest Jordan’s you can afford your family and yourself a vacation. Hit me up and let me know where you’re planning your next family trip!Bye for now,Keis
